The meaning of the word mandala is Sanskrit is circle or completion

 •Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol is Hinduism and Buddhism representing the universe and a guide on the path to enlightenment

 •Circular designs symbolize the idea life is never ending and everything is connected

•Mandala represents a spiritual journey for the viewer 

•First mandala appeared in the first century BC – spread throughout Asia and Buddhist monks who travelled the silk road•Mandala becomes a window for exploring one’s inner self – used for insight, healing and self expression
